Quito, October 4, 2018.- The Fourteenth Conference of Monobuoy Operators was held from October 3 to 5. This event is organized by the Latin American Association of Operators of Maritime Oil Terminals and Monobuoys (SLOM) for the purpose of promoting safe, efficient, clean and competitive maritime oil ports.

OCP Ecuador’s technical personnel specialized in maritime oil operations had an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences, as well as good practices in the operation and maintenance of terminals.  This international event was attended by more than 180 representatives of companies in the industry from several countries.

This time, the Fourteenth Conference of Monobuoy Operators was focused on “New Challenges: optimization of operations while maintaining safety". It was held in Quito and was an ideal opportunity for companies operating maritime oil terminals from several countries to promote their new technologies, products and specialized services.

Additionally, these conferences, which have been taking place since 2005, allow the combination of three aspects – the academic, the commercial and the network for the maritime, port and oil sectors’ operation and maintenance.
